However else one represents Revelation 18, it is clear the Antichrist garners success in solving the otherwise intractable problems of the economy while in the process attracting the devotion of both politicians and captains of industry.
The Antichrist asserts his influence through a three-fold program known as Solidarity. The components of Solidarity are religious, political, and economic. These three elements are clearly noted by the pen of inspiration:
"For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath [literally, passion] of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies" (Revelation 18:3).
The economic system of the Antichrist produces wealth. This fact is further confirmed by these verses:
"And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning" (verse 9).
Also,
"And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more" (verse 11).
THE VALUE OF SUCCESS
This positive image of the Beast is a far cry from the popular hatred customarily heaped upon the supposed impostor of Christ.
The pen of inspiration makes no illusion about the wealth of the Antichrist. It is a very real wealth produced by a system of generalized prosperity rooted in satisfying human desires.* There is no picture of austerity in his system.
UNIVERSAL ESTEEM
The eventual demise of the Antichrist is lamented by the foremost political and economic champions of the world.
Because of the weaknesses in the current economic system, there is the illusion of support for and even the success of an extreme social message on both the right and left sides of the political spectrum. This anomaly proves the connectedness of religion, politics, and economics. Their collective expression is known as a worldview and when properly understood the relationship between religion, politics, and economics should be logical and harmonious. This is just as true for the three-fold system of Solidarity.
Solidarity is a harmonious worldview that draws the admiration of the world by adapting religion, politics, and economics for the 21st century and beyond.
MILLENNIUM GROUP
Solidarity is a thousand-year economic philosophy. The current political parties are shackled by fiscal questions when their discussions ought to address the systemic deficits of the economy. Talk limited to tax and spending will not solve the structural problems that represent the big picture.

Austerity is not the route of the Antichrist, whose own economic counsel will earn the admiration of a prosperous world.
