Violence is contrary to the spirit of the Arab Spring. Violence is contrary to modern Islam.
It is suspicious that radicals perpetrated violent protests in Cairo and Benghazi on the anniversary of 9/11. The protest in Benghazi was evidently used as cover to murder four Americans connected with the U.S. embassy there, including the ambassador.
Reports have cited an anti-Islam film produced in the United States as one factor in the North African protests.
The Libyan government has pledged to assist the United States in hunting down and "bringing justice" to the terrorists who used the cover of legitimate protests to conceal their crimes.
